See below: The Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, is currently accepting applications for its 2015 National Executive Energy Leadership Academy. NREL is the only campus in the DOE research network devoted just to renewable research.

Movement Building   

• Approximately 450 people attended solidarity People’s Climate March events in Boulder and Denver, while more than 400,000 marched in NYC on Sept. 21st, 2014.  
• 350CO helped coordinate over 50 Coloradans who travelled to NYC People’s Climate March and raised funds to send 6 youth leaders.  
• 350CO organized a Whistle Stop Rally at Union Station in Denver to Celebrate Coloradans and others riding the People’s Climate Train to the People’s Climate March in NYC.  

At three climate-change events I’ve been to during the last month, we learned about the greenhouse effect. Yep – the greenhouse effect.  A little diagram of the sun’s rays bouncing off the earth’s surface and against the carbon dioxide. One of these events was a roomful of divestment activists, and the other, the assembled architects of a multi-year Climate Action Plan.
