NEWSLETTER – Capitol Action Wrap Up

The 2019 Legislative Session is about to adjourn on May 3rd, and it was a highly eventful session for the climate movement! Having dipped my toes in climate lobbying as a 350 Colorado volunteer for the first time this year, I would like to share with you what an exhilarating, empowering and hopeful ride this session has been.

City of Denver Divests from Oil and Gas Companies!

DENVER, CO – Denver Mayor Michael Hancock announced that the City of Denver has begun divesting its $6bn General Funds’ portfolio from fossil fuel investments. The city said it was able to move quickly through the process as fossil fuels were already a small percentage of the overall portfolio – totaling approximately $179M.
