Climate Change and Endangered Languages  There are about 7000 different languages in the world, and each has its own unique features that to users of another language may seem highly exotic, like the oft-told story that the Inuit have dozens of different words for ‘snow’. This infinite variability makes working with languages very interesting.

Help sustain the momentum to stop neighborhood fracking in Colorado!

Like most Coloradans, I wasn’t too familiar with fracking until it found its way into my backyard. My son Diego is a student of Bella Romero Academy in Greeley, where Extraction Oil and Gas is drilling 24 wells just a few hundred feet from the playground. As I began to research the industry, I learned about the detrimental health effects, especially to children.
