Submitted by Doug Henderson on behalf of the 350 Ft. Collins Team… Statement to Colorado Oil and Gas Task Force 15 January 2015
My name is Doug Henderson. I am a member of the organization 350, a national and international movement addressing climate change. 350 is active and expanding locally, with thousands of supporters and activists in Colorado, including Ft Collins where I live.
350 Fort Collins got its start two Sundays ago, when a roomful of almost 40 activists from Larimer and Weld counties gathered at the Old Town Fort Collins Library.
The group included Colorado State (CSU) and Front Range students and professors, artists, scientists, agriculture students, writers, fractivists, techies, faith leaders, renewable-energy advocates, high school students, and more.
A great opportunity for proponents of renewable energy in Colorado, the NREL National Executive Energy Leadership Academy, is currently taking applications. See below:
The Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, is currently accepting applications for its 2015 National Executive Energy Leadership Academy.
NREL is the only campus in the DOE research network devoted just to renewable research.
