This month, we’re celebrating our cohort of interns who made an incredible impact to our work! Ana Collins, Shikha Soni, Libby Schwalbach, Anna Von Hoene, Rhiannon Redinger and Nola Fanesti each made a meaningful contribution to 350 Colorado this summer. From supporting events and researching climate issues to strengthening our communications and helping more people find their voice. We’re so grateful for all the effort they brought to this work, and proud to honor them as our Climate Heroes of the Month!
Ana Collins
Shikha Soni
Thank you so much to Shikha Soni, 350 Colorado’s Commu nications Intern! Shikha brought an appreciation for Colorado’s natural beauty and a passion for protecting it. As a political science major with a minor in philosophy at CU Boulder, she’s building a strong foundation in environmental studies and public policy, with plans to pursue environmental law. Shikha’s supported our communications efforts with everything from social media posts to training volunteer public speakers. She truly made an impact! Thank you, Shikha, for all of your hard work!
Libby Schwalbach
Thank you to Libby Schwalbach, 350 Colorado’s Letters to the Editor Intern! Libby grew up spending her days outdoors and developed a deep appreciation for the natural world. Now studying Psychology, English, and Creative Writing at the University of Iowa, she brings her love of writing and storytelling to the climate movement. Libby is already making a difference by writing and submitting letters to the editor, supporting our volunteer writers, and creating social media posts to spread the word. She plans to continue that work through law and public policy. Thank you, Libby, for making your voice heard!
Anna Von Hoene
We are so grateful for the tremendous support from Anna for multiple 350CO priorities this summer and early fall! Anna served as our Climate Policy and Youth Action Intern for the summer. Anna graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with two minors, in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science, and Geology. She helped support our climate policy initiatives and our Youth Action Committee. She firmly believes that awareness must be spread and education prioritized to help safeguard the future: “Think globally, act locally.” Interning with 350 Colorado gave Anna invaluable insights into climate policy in action, community organizing, and what it means to pursue a career in environmental justice.
Nola Fanesti
i, 350 Colorado’s Beyond Oil and Gas Campaign Summer Intern. She was instrumental in planning our Denver Here and Now Event, which highlighted the need for climate adaptations in the Denver Metro Area. She also helped elevate important issues such as the connection between fracked energy and the data center boom. We wish her all the best as she continues her studies at the University of Colorado Anschutz. We are so grateful for the time that we got to spend working with and learning from Nola!
Rhiannon Redinger
Thank you so much to Rhiannon! They served as our Climate Policy Intern over the summer, and we truly appreciate their contribution to our efforts. They worked closely with 350 Colorado staff members on various climate policy initiatives. Rhiannon brought a thoughtful, data-driven approach to their work and helped us dig deeper into important climate and environmental policy issues. We’re grateful for all of their hard work and excited to see where their passion for climate policy and research takes them next. Thank you, Rhiannon, for all that you contributed to 350 Colorado this summer!
