JUSTICE, DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION (JEDI) STATEMENT

350 Colorado recognizes that the burdens of the climate crisis are not equal, with low-income and communities of color often impacted first and worst. To secure a liveable climate for all, we must prioritize solutions that address root causes and dismantle systems of oppression.

We are starting internally by committing ourselves to identifying and addressing inequality in the climate movement, ensuring that those most impacted always have a seat at the table, and maintaining supportive and non-extractive relationships with impacted communities. Together, from our small mountain towns to the state Capitol, we are committed to building an inclusive movement that welcomes all.

As staff, volunteers, and community members, we make a strong commitment to not make reference to or assumptions about others based upon the color of their skin, heritage, age, religion, or sexual preference, with a goal of cultivating an inclusive and welcoming movement and community.

Anti-discrimination statement: 350 Colorado does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, color, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, marital status, pregnancy, age, medical condition (cancer related or HIV/AIDS related), handicap, disability or any other protected status in accordance with the requirements of local, state, and/or federal law in the educational programs or activities that we operate and we are required by Title IX and 40 C.F.R. § 5.140 not to discriminate in such a manner. Inquiries concerning the application of Title IX and requirements listed above may be referred to our executive director Micah Parkin.
