Platte River Power Authority (PRPA) wants to build FIVE new gas plants in Larimer County. However, they’re basing the need for this short-sighted expansion on faulty data while undervaluing their current facilities. In the end, Larimer County ratepayers will be the ones holding the bag – with potentially increased rates and polluted air.

Simply put: PRPA’s new gas plant will hurt our air, delay clean energy, and raise costs. We can’t afford it. Larimer County Commissioners need to hear from you before they sign this bad deal. Tell them to stop these new gas plants, ensure investments in sustainable clean energy, and hold PRPA accountable to its promise of a 100% non-carbon future.

The next pivotal meeting around this project is at 3pm on Monday April 21, 2025 at 200 West Oak Street in Fort Collins. Show up at the 1st floor Hearing Room and wear green if you can! Email sarah@350colorado.org for more information.
