On September 16th, the People’s Climate Train will arrive in Denver as it makes its way to The People’s Climate March in New York City. Join us as we welcome those arriving and send off our own Colorado delegation!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 16th!
Who: 350 Colorado & Colorado citizens (that means you)
Where: Union Station, 1701 Wynkoop Street, Denver, CO
When: Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Why: To cheer on our Colorado delegation with a celebration and hear from activists traveling to NYC for the march!
This rally will be uplifting and family-friendly, no need to leave the kids at home. We’re asking folks to dress in blue and green in support of our planet and be prepared to have a great time.
There will be speeches from folks leaving on the train, music & singing, fanfare & flag waving, kazoos, and even a short march into Union Station to wave farewell to our friends.
You won’t want to miss this, especially if you can’t make it to New York for the 21st.
The People’s Climate Train
What is this People’s Climate Train we keep talking about? Organizers with the Center for Biological Diversity are turning Amtrak into a climate activists’ train from its departure in California on the 15th ’til its arrival in New York on the 18th. It will feature three full days of workshops and camaraderie for all those aboard.
Participants will arrive in NYC Thursday evening, in time for the build-up actions over the weekend before the People’s Climate March on Sunday, September 21. Learn more about the People’s Climate Train here.

A historic moment
When the world’s leaders gather in New York at the UN Climate Summit this fall to discuss climate change, hundreds of thousands of people will be there to urge them to take action before it’s too late.
