President Obama is in Denver July 9th. Please join us for a visibility action to let President Obama know that Coloradans want him to reject the KXL tar sands oil pipeline! And please spread the word! The bigger our presence, the bigger our impact.

President Obama will be speaking mid-morning in Cheesman Park and will then attend a fundraising luncheon somewhere in Cranmer Park.  We’ll text more information as we gather it tomorrow, so please be sure to give us your cell phone # on the form below.  

• When:  Wed., July 9th, 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM.  
  
• Where:  Join us in Cheesman Park where 10th Ave. dead ends into the park, near Humboldt St.  (The President will speak by the amphitheater across the park, so we’ll figure out the best location once we’re there.  If you can’t find us, please call Micah at 504-258-1247 or Ryan at720-361-8441.) The Cheesman speech might be over at 10 am or so. We’ll then depart and make our way downtown for the second part of our demonstration – the President is expected to speak at 12:20 pm at Westin Hotel downtown Lawrence and 17th Street. We’ll get as close as possible, but we won’t really know what kind of sidewalk and street closures there will be. Since traffic may be busy leaving the first event it’s hard to say exactly when we’ll be there. Probably by 11. We’d like to try to be near the front of the Westin around 17th & Lawrence St and stay out there until the President leaves probably around 1:30.
